Exciting day of camogie

CONGRATULA­TIONS to all the young players who produced an exciting day of Camogie at the biggest yet Cumann na mBunscol Primary Schools Blitz played in Ballinakil­l on Friday, April 27.

Over 100 girls participat­ed from Gaelscoil Chill Mhantáin, Gaelscoil an Inbhir Mhóir, Aughrim (three teams), Our Lady’s Rathdrum (two teams), Kilcoole, Scoil Chualann, and Crossbridg­e NS.

It was fantastic to see so many girls playing camogie in this participat­ion focused blitz.

The future is bright for Wicklow Camogie if we can keep this group of girls playing for many years to come.

Credit Union Cup County open night

County Open night, ‘Meet & Greet’ your County Senior Football and Hurling Teams on Friday, May 4 at 6.30pm to 8pm in Ballinakil­l. Club members who have not yet been to the Centre of Excellence can come and look at the fantastic facilities.

As Christy Ring and Leinster Football Championsh­ip is the following week it would be great to see a good attendance.

The Wicklow County players have been putting in a huge effort and they would like to see all the young players in the County.
