BRAY BOWLS

-

A busy week on the rink this week with all teams in action and mixed results achieved. Our Division 4 team had a tough time out in Ierne where the grass proved problematic to all except Bob Neilson’s rink who got Bray’s solitary point. Wednesday last saw Division 6 take all 4 points on offer at home to Crumlin despite being a player short. On the same day the ladies were away to Crumlin and unfortunately they returned home pointless. All three Vets teams were in action on Thursday last with a win, a draw and a loss to report. Vets 1 took 3 points away in Rathmines against Leinster, Vets 2 got 1 point away to Crumlin where Stephen Morris was outstanding. Vets 3 drew at home to Sportslink and got 2 points. Saturday saw Division 1 take 6 points at home to Kenilworth and Division 2 got 1 point away to Clontarf. The ladies Saturday team took all 2 points at home to Dun Laoghaire. This Wednesday sees Division 6 make the trip to Kilcock to play the newest club in the league - North Kildare.and the ladies are at home to Leinster. Both Vets 1 and 2 are at home on Thursday to Dun Laoghaire and Herbert Park respectively. Vets 3 make the short trip to play our neighbours Shankill. This coming Saturday sees our ladies play away to Dun Laoghaire Golf Club and our men’s Division 2 team make the long journey north to the Ards Peninsula in Co. Down to play Ballywalter in the IBA Intermediate Cup. Finally congrats to Eoghain Brady on winning the club lotto thai week.
