COFFEE MORNING
Brian and Margaret Moran will host a coffee morning on Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m., All proceeds going to Avondale Allstars Special Olympics Club, to assist in sending Kevin and his two teammates, who have qualified to represent the Eastern Region, to the Special Olympics Ireland Games which take place in Dublin in June. All support would be greatly appreciated.

On behalf of Jimmy Cullen and the four A’s Hillwalking Club, we would like to sincerely thank everyone who took part in the recent sponsored walk to raise funds for children of Chernoybl Arklow, Gorey Group. Also thanks to anyone who helped out in anyway on the day. The amount raised was in excess of €3,000.
PLAYGROUND PROJECT
There will be a general meeting in the Saltee on Thursday, May 17, at 8 p.m. This meeting will give an update on the development of the playground. Everyone is welcome.
TABLE QUIZ
There will be a table quiz on Saturday, May 19, in the Saltee pub starting at 8.30 p.m. €10 per person. Proceeds in aid of Annacurra Church and cemetery.
VINTAGE RUN
Wicklow Vintage Club are holding their annual Vintage Tractor and Car Run on Sunday, May 13, at midday from St Kevin’s Hall Ballycoog. All are most welcome to attend and homemade refreshments will be served in the hall afterwards.
KNOCK PILGRIMAGE
Kilaveney Parish annual pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Saturday, June 30, and Sunday, July 1. A bus will depart from Tinahely on Saturday, June 30, at 9 a.m. We will stop for a coffee break on the journey to Knock. There will be an evening meal with bed and breakfast in the Knock House Hotel. The bus will depart from Knock on Sunday, July 1, at 4 p.m.
The cost of the bus and hotel will be based on the number of people travelling. Bookings and more information: Tel: 086 8700843. The final date for booking will be Friday, May 11. All are welcome to participate in this pilgrimage and encouraged to join in prayer as we honour Our Lady of Knock. Members of Parishes in the surrounding areas are also welcome.

HOMECOMING
The award winning short film, ‘Homecoming’ by Sinéad O’Loughlin, will premiere on RTÉ2 on Monday, May 14, ‘Homecoming’ was filmed locally in Tinnakilly and Templelusk in March 2016 and has screened at over 30 film festivals. The film has picked up five awards, most recently ‘Best Short Film Audience Award’ at Chicago Irish Film Festival.
‘Homecoming’ was funded by a Strategic Project Grant from Wicklow County Arts Office. The 15 minute film will have a late night slot as part of the Shortscreen programme on RTÉ two at a quarter past midnight on Monday, May 14, but will also be available on demand on the RTÉ player for the following 30 days. homecomingshort.com.

A heavy mist greeted walkers who turned out to last week’s walk around the Clara Vale loop. Nevertheless 40 people made the trip and despite a lack of scenery on our way round it was much enjoyed by all.
This week’s walk takes us to Derrybawn over Glendalough. Unlike previous years the walk will start from the Brockagh Centre car park in Laragh (not the Royal Hotel car park as in previous years) meeting at 7.20 with those going to Rathdrum meeting in the Parnell Memorial Park for 7 p.m.
