THE feel-good factor fuelled by the unexpected victory over Derry City came to a crashing halt on a night that referee Sean Grant ensured he could cross Bray off his list of future holiday destinatio­ns.

The referee not only declined to give two very possible penalties - he went as far as booking both players involved for simulation.

He would eventually award a spot kick on the stroke of half time which captain Gary McCabe converted to give Bray at 1-2 but it was to be the Gypsies - and not the Seagulls - that would go on to record back-to-back victories for the first time this season.
