The senior men went into last week knowing it was a week that would define their season, on Tuesday they took on Doddervale/ Orwell Utd seeking three points to keep themselves in the promotion race.

Unfortunately they lost 4-1, a result that saw them drop to seventh in the table and makes their promotion hopes look very bleak.

On the night, Luke Byrne scored his 13th of the season to nab Rovers consolation goal.

The lads made a cruel exit at the semi final stage of the Polikoff cup losing 4-3 on penalties after drawing 3-3 after extra time.

The lads came from behind on three occasions and had their chances to win the game, Gareth Murphy hit a brace with Mikey Delaney scoring from the penalty
