GAA CLUB NEWS
There was mixed fortunes last weekend for club teams. On Friday the senior footballers played the relegation match against Éire Óg. The game didn’t go well. We went down 1-14 to 1-4. On Saturday the junior camogie team played Aughrim in the Junior County Final. This was tight all the way and ended in a draw. Hopefully they will be successful in the replay.
Lotto – Numbers drawn 7, 8, 18, 24. No jackpot winner. Two match-three winners of €50: Martin Fitzgerald, Preban; Valerie Langarell, Castlemacadam c/o Ann Alexander. Next week’s jackpot €1,950.
NIGHT TRUCK RUN
A night truck run will be held on Saturday, October 6, at 7 p.m. This run is a fundraiser for Lauralynn Children’s Hospice. Registration if from 3 p.m. in the County Grounds, Aughrim. The run will leave the County Grounds at 7 p.m. and will go through the village, then proceed to Arklow, Gorey, Carnew and back to Aughrim.
This is for a very good cause and we hope people will come out to see the trucks and donate to the bucket collection. There may be some traffic delays while truck run is going through and parking restrictions will also be in place between 6.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. For further information please contact Denis at 087 2387216.

There will be a whist drive in Annacurra Community Hall on Saturday night next September 22 starting at 9 p.m.
