Counterfeit note warning

THE Gardai are warning business owners and members of the public to be aware of counterfeit notes in circulation after two businesses encountered them last week.

Superintendent Paul Hogan said businesses in Arklow and Bray reported such notes to the Gardai.

‘We’d just encourage people to be wary of forged €50 notes and to just be alert that there are some in circulation,’ he said.
