Christmas Together volunteers urged to attend meeting

-

ORGANISERS of the popular Wicklow Christmas Together are holding a public meeting for anyone who would like to get involved with this year’s event.

The meeting will take place at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, in the Stage Youth Cafe at the Parochial Hall in Wicklow town (across from St Patrick’s Church) and is open to anyone would would like to help organise the event, take part in the setting up beforehand or, indeed, to lend a hand on Christmas Day itself.

While Christmas is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, it can be hard for those facing it alone or away from loved ones. Wicklow Christmas Together invites anyone in the town of Wicklow and the surrounding areas to come and enjoy their Christmas dinner, with an extra helping of festive cheer, in the company of others. Along with a full Christmas meal, there will be music, dancing, a sing-song and a bit of craic in the Parochial Hall on Christmas Day.

It is a non-religious event and caters for young and old, singles, couples and small families. Transport to and from the venue can be arranged, if required.

This will be the fifth year of Wicklow Christmas Together and the event is going from strength to strength.

Anyone who can’t make the meeting but would like to get involved should contact Lauren Keogh on either 087 7665131 or lmbkeogh@gmail.com.
