Rain fails to dampen the spirits for Arklow RFC minis

-

SATURDAY, November 3, was a wet and windy morning but it didn’t deter the brave-hearted minis from Arklow RFC who hosted large travelling contingents from Tullow and New Ross for a minis rugby blitz.

Teams from Under 7s, Under 8s, Under 9s and Under 10s played their hearts out in the wind and rain and displayed fantastic character and some brilliant rugby skills throughout the morning.

It is days like this that strengthen teams and the teamwork on display across all age grades was demonstrable with some beautiful team tries from one end of the pitch to the other.

There was great encouragement from coaches, parents and wider families on the side lines who deserve a special mention for their support given the conditions.

It was also great to see the camaraderie between the rugby players and wider rugby community in the traditional hospitality in the clubhouse afterwards.

Well done to Arklow, Tullow and New Ross on a great mornings rugby. The spirit of rugby is alive and well in Arklow RFC.
