Cycling trio help rase €130,000 for the Jack and Jill Foundaion

-

THREE Bank of Ireland staff from Co Wicklow were among a group of over 50 cyclists who raised over €130,000 for The Jack and Jill Foundation.

Myles Barnes from Redcross and Joan Green and Stephen Bell from Bray were among the group who cycled 700km each on the inaugural Bank of Ireland Head2Head Cycle, which set off on September 12 and went from Malin Head in Donegal to Mizen Head in Cork in five days.

The €130,000 raised will help deliver over 8,000 respite nursing hours to support Jack and Jill families across Ireland, including those in County Wicklow.

Bank of Ireland had pledged to provide 20,000 nursing hours to support Jack and Jill families during its partnership with the charity. Every €16 raised by staff funds one hour of home nursing care and respite and the bank is proud to announce that it has reached the 20,000 hours mark.
