Maura celebrates her milestone 80th
THERE was great excitement in Coolgreany recently as Johnstown Lower woman Maura Rush was the toast of the town as she celebrated her 80th birthday.
A very well known woman in her community, Maura was surrounded by many of her relatives and friends for a party in the Coolgreany Inn.
Maura was delighted to be joined by her five children for the occasion - triplets Veronica, Kevin and Oliver and Christopher and John, their partners and families.
Many of Maura’s 26 grandchildren were also there and she is also a proud great-grandmother.
Guests travelled from around Wicklow and from Dublin to share Maura’s special night which meant so much to her.
One of the perks of being head of a musical family was that Maura enjoyed entertainment on the night courtesy of her son John while many other relatives sang a song or two.
Maura thanked everyone for coming along to her celebration and said that she as delighted to enjoy such a lovely night with her nearest and dearest.
