Grand Slam

-

Last Wednesday brought out the best in members coping with some entertaining bridge hands. There were a couple of small slams bid and made. In first place were Catherine King and Eithne Smith, who were clear winners, but the next two places were separated by a single point. Kay and Teddy Hickson came second and one point ahead of Rosemary Morrissey and Rose Behan. The first three pairs were a good few points ahead of the rest of the field.

Early notice to members that the next party night is now six weeks away, taking place on Wednesday December 19.

The usual beginners hour of informal tuition at 6.30 p.m. prior to the usual 7.30 p.m. start of the normal club competition, continues to welcome people trying their hand at bridge. No need to book as it is very informal and free of charge. Just turn up to the Dominican Ecology Complex building on Kilmantin Hill in Wicklow.
