Rail users asked to give views on proposed changes
Rail commuters are being urged to make their thoughts known on proposed changes to the Dublin to Rosslare Europort timetable.
Iarnród Éireann is planning to implement further timetable alterations from December 9, subject to the approval of the National Transport Authority.
Proposed changes on the Dublin-Rosslare Europort route include extending the weekday 5.33 p.m. Connolly to Wexford service to Rosslare Europort and terminating the 6.35 p.m. Connolly to Rosslare Europort service at Wexford.
It is also proposed to bring forward the Saturday service from Connolly to Rosslare Europort from 9.40 a.m. to 8.05 a.m.
On Sundays, it is proposed to defer the 9.45 a.m. Connolly to Rosslare Europort service to 10.25 a.m. and to defer the 9.30 a.m. Rosslare Europort to Connolly service to 9.40 a.m.
Rail users are being invited to submit feedback on these proposed revisions through a special form available on irishrail.ie. Submissions must be made by 5 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, November 15).
Iarnród Éireann has said it will review all suggestions received.
Suggested alterations which cannot be implemented at this timetable change will be retained in a database for consideration at future timetable reviews.
Iarnród Éireann has advised its customers that peak frequency cannot currently be increased, as all available fleet and infrastructure capacity is in use.
