Newcastle Community Centre and Newcastle residents’ association are holding their AGMs this Wednesday, November 14, in.

Following 9 a.m. Mass on Sunday, the community of Clara Vale remembered all the brave men from the Valley that were lost in the Great War. Many of their relatives were in attendance. Wreaths were placed at the Commerative Stone in the church Yard. The

Back in August two judges from the National Pride of Place competition visited Rathdrum. They received a presentation, that included a video with local volunteers talking about the showcases areas, along with drone footage of Rathdrum. After this they visited the Market Square statue, The Famine Graveyard, Parnell Memorial Park, playground and Gym. The judging finished in Avondale House where they were able to meet more of our volunteers. Feedback on the day was very positive.
