FOOTBALL CLUB NOTES

Our county under-16 footballers had a good run in the Father Manning Cup that was played in Longford last week. They beat Louth, Roscommon and Laois in the league section and lost to Sligo in the final. Jack grace and Shane Daly were our players on the panel and they both gave a good account of themselves.

The under-20 championship started in Donard on November 1 on a cold frosty night when they had a big win over Clanna Gael. They lost to Arklow/Ballymoney in the second round and were fixed to play Rathnew away on Sunday, November 11, James and Shane Eager are our players so far on this team.

There were two match three in the lotto last week. James Corrigan and Clare Byrne got €100 each. The jackpot is now €6,600.
