Big cheque for hospice

-

THE RECENT pre-Christmas ladies’ night at the Woodebridge Hotel was a resounding success, raising €4,200 for Wicklow Hospice Foundation.

The event saw a large number of local ladies gather for a festive fashion and beauty market and catwakj show and evening of entertainment while raising funds for a worthy cause.

Representatives from the Woodenbridge Hotel and Wicklow Hospice met at the hotel this week for the cheque presentation.

The sum of €4,200 was gathered through the silent raffle and ticket sales.

In September 2019, the Wicklow Hospice is due to open its doors, making it the first hospice in County Wicklow.

There will be 15 rooms for in-patients and a hub for home care county-wide, a facility brought to fruition by the people of County Wicklow.
