Councillors agree on 15 estates

-

FIFTEEN estates located throughout the county were taken in charge of Wicklow County Council after agreement from all the elected members.

A decision on Carrig Mill in Greystones was deferred until the January meeting of Wicklow County Council after residents raised concerns with local councillors.

‘The residents aren’t happy and have some concerns that need addressing. Certain works aren’t yet complete,’ said Cllr Tom Fortune.

Cllr Gerry Walsh also met with residents of Carrig Mill. He said: ‘There are some outstanding issues which residents want addressed. They would like a guarantee that these issues would be addressed.’

Director of Services Seán Quirke said all outstanding works would be carried out and a bond from the developer would cover the costs.

It was agreed by all members present to take in charge Ballycrone Manor (phase one) in Kilcoole, Burkeen in Wicklow town, Cherry Glade/Walkway in Delgany, Cherry Hill in Delgany, Churchfields in Delgany, Cluain Ard in Arklow, Cluain Ard Court in Arklow, Glenkeen in Kilcoole, Hazel Hill in Annacurra, Marlton Hal in Wicklow town, Rathluain in Dunlavin, Riverside Heights in Arklow, Rosehill (old Town Council area) in Wicklow town and Winetavern Manor in Manor Kilbride.
