Boys’ youth group launches appeal to help the homeless
CROSSCARE East Wicklow Youth Service in conjunction with their Rathdrum senior boys’ group are seeking for support for their homeless appeal.
The group has been working with this group of young men for a couple of years and is on the cusp of launching Rathdrum Youth Centre.
They have organised a sleeping bag and tent appeal and are asking people in Rathdrum to donate any unwanted sleeping bags or tents to the Youth Centre which will be passed to the Simon Community for giving out to any homeless people over Christmas.
Donations can be brought to the new Rathdrum Youth Centre (across from Apache Pizza) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Also, donations from the Arklow area can be brought to East Wicklow Youth Service, The Vault on Coomie Lane Arklow. These will also be passed to the Simon Community. Any queries to 0402 39646 or ewys@crosscare.ie
