Boys’ youth group launches ap­peal to help the home­less

CROSSCARE East Wick­low Youth Ser­vice in con­junc­tion with their Rath­drum se­nior boys’ group are seek­ing for sup­port for their home­less ap­peal.

The group has been work­ing with this group of young men for a cou­ple of years and is on the cusp of launch­ing Rath­drum Youth Cen­tre.

They have or­gan­ised a sleep­ing bag and tent ap­peal and are ask­ing peo­ple in Rath­drum to do­nate any un­wanted sleep­ing bags or tents to the Youth Cen­tre which will be passed to the Si­mon Com­mu­nity for giv­ing out to any home­less peo­ple over Christ­mas.

Dona­tions can be brought to the new Rath­drum Youth Cen­tre (across from Apache Pizza) on Tues­days and Thurs­days from 3.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Also, dona­tions from the Ark­low area can be brought to East Wick­low Youth Ser­vice, The Vault on Coomie Lane Ark­low. These will also be passed to the Si­mon Com­mu­nity. Any queries to 0402 39646 or [email protected]
