Footballers to get new sponsor as Joule deal winds up
WICKLOW GAA are poised to announce a major new sponsorship deal for the county footballers in the coming days.
The deal with Joule that included the naming rights of Aughrim is at the end of the two-year deal and County Chairman Martin Fitzgerald has thanked Joule and said that they were a ‘great sponsor’ to have on board.
The new deal is said to be almost secured with a major international company.
Sources within Wicklow GAA were keeping tight-lipped on the identlty of the new sponsor but it is believed that they have strong connections with the county.
It is also believed that a sponsor is being strongly courted for the hurlers after the WH Scott Lifting deal came to an end.
Martin Fitzgerald also paid tribute to WH Scott Lifting for the support of the hurlers.
The football sponsor is due to be unveiled at convention next Monday.
