Wick­low GAA pays tribute to Shea­mus

THERE was a deep sense of sad­ness within the Wick­low GAA com­mu­nity this week with the news of the pass­ing of Wex­ford stal­wart Shea­mus Howlin.

Wick­low GAA of­fi­cials said that the for­mer Wex­ford GAA Chair­man was a ‘great friend’ to Wick­low GAA.

‘Wick­low GAA ex­tends its sin­cere sym­pa­thy to the Howlin fam­ily on the sad pass­ing of Shea­mus. He was a for­mer Chair­per­son of Wex­ford and Le­in­ster GAA.

‘Shea­mus was a gen­tle­man and a great friend to Wick­low GAA in and out­side ad­min­is­tra­tion at which he ex­celled. His ad­vice and guid­ance was sought reg­u­larly and he never failed to de­liver.

‘Deep­est con­do­lences to his wife Vera, sons Gavin Donal and Derek sis­ter Eileen and ex­tended fam­ily,’ they added.
