Friday night is definitely movie night so don’t forget the microwave popcorn in the shopping this week.

Rocky II precedes Stepmom on RTE2 but there are other late choices with Tin Cup starring Kevin Costner on RTE One at 11.55pm, while The Break-Up starring Vince Vaughan and Jennifer Aniston is on UTV.

Stepmom stars Julia Roberts and Susan Sarandon. Roberts plays a photographer who is married to a divorced man with two children. She struggles to bond with the children, until she discovers that their mom is ill and helps them cope with the news.
