David gets in the festive spirit to raise funds for Wicklow Lions
DAVID Earls and his ‘Beat on the Street’ held on the last weekend before Christmas raised a substantial amount of money for the Wicklow and District Lions Club.
David showcased his DJ abilities by playing some festive favourites at Fitzwilliam Square from outside Track One Music.
The ‘Beat on the Street’ was initially meant to take place the previous weekend but ended up being a wash-out due to torrential rainfall which caused the cancellation of a number of different events.
Lions Club members would also like to thank all the shoppers who supported their collections at Tesco and SuperValu in Wicklow town and Centra in Ashford.
All the collected funds and food have already been distributed to Saint Vincent de Paul.
The Lions weekly quizzes resume on Wednesday, January 16, and will continue through the month of February into March. Further details on the venue will be announced later in the week.
