Choir performance rounds off festivities

A LARGE gathering in Wicklow Parish Church were treated to a celebration of songs and carols to round off the festive season as they enjoyed performances from three different choir groups.

Singing their hearts out on the night were members of Inver Dee Ladies Choir from Arklow, Avoca Valley Singers and Wicklow Community Choir.

Also involved were conductor Anthony Norton and pianist Yvonne Collier, with arrangement by Niall Kinsella.

Wicklow Community Choir is based in Wicklow town and is a choral group open to all who wish to sing, make music and friends in a supportive environment. They partake in performances, workshops and festivals throughout the year. New members are always welcome and auditions aren’t necessary. Weekly rehearsals take place each Thursday evening at 7.30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Primary School. There is a €5 charge per session but the first session for new members is free.
