KNOCKANANNA Camogie Club celebrated their Senior team’s three-in-a-row win on Saturday last with a meal at Madeline’s restaurant in Tinahely and presentation of their league and championship medals.

A huge thanks was expressed to Tom Byrne, trainer, on the night. Having beaten Donard in the county final, this year saw the girls come very close to a Leinster win, losing by just a point, so hopefully that will give renewed motivation for 2019.

‘A big thank you to Paddy and staff for a wonderful meal and decorating the premises in our club colours,’ said a club spokes- person. ‘We also had some fun awards which added a fun element to the night.

Congratulations was expressed to Jessie Byrne on being selected as Wicklow camogie player of the year which she will be presented with on January 19.

‘Players player of the year went to Shannagh Goetelen and manager’s player went to Claire Byrne. All players were presented with a memento hurl for the three-ina-row.

‘The players expressed their thanks with a presentation to Tom, Serge, Trish and Angela.

‘The 2019 season is upon us so any new members interested in joining Knockananna camogie club please contact our secretary on 087 6772615,’ they added.
