Coláiste Bhríde are delighted to announce that Mikel Murfi will perform his new play ‘I Hear You and Rejoice’, in St Brigid’s Hall Carnew on Thursday, January 31, for one night only. This play is a sequel to his previous play ‘The Man in the Woman’s Shoes’. He has toured in London, New York and Edinburgh with this new play so it will be great to see him return to our local community.

A new book by Chris Lawlor entitled ‘With Much Quiet Fervour’ on the history of Dunlavin Catholic Parish and St Nicholas of Myra Church was launched at the harvest festival. The book is now on sale in the parish office, at the back of the church, Ed’s Fruit and Veg and Whelan’s Pharmacy. The 80 paged book costs €5 and would be of interest to people both within and beyond the parish. It would also make a very nice gift to send to locals who are living abroad. All proceeds from the sale of the book go to the parish.
