A new book by Chris Lawlor entitled ‘With Much Quiet Fervour’ on the history of Dunlavin Catholic Parish and St Nicholas of Myra Church was launched at the harvest festival. The book is now on sale in the parish office, at the back of the church, Ed’s Fruit and Veg and Whelan’s Pharmacy. The 80 paged book costs €5 and would be of interest to people both within and beyond the parish. It would also make a very nice gift to send to locals who are living abroad. All proceeds from the sale of the book go to the parish.
