Jack setting off on UK and Irish tour with United Vibe

- By DEBORAH COLEMAN

JUST a few months after his successful appearance on The X Factor, Manor Kilbride teenager Jack Tisdall is setting of on his first UK and Irish tour with boy band United Vibe.

The group made a great splash on the popular television talent show and were mentored by pop star Robbie Williams, who said that they were going to be even bigger than One Direction.

Jack (17) is now based in London and in recent weeks has been hard at work rehearsing for the 12-date tour which finishes with a home gig in The Academy, Dublin, on March 29.

He is lucky to have family support over in the UK in the form of his grandparents.

‘We are really looking forward to the tour,’ said Jack.

‘At the moment we are meeting up five times a week to rehearse and to go over the choreography given to us for the shows. We are putting in a massive amount of effort and work and we really want to impress all our fans and put on some great shows,’ he said.

United Vibe will be performing 12 songs at each show, including their new original track ‘Miss That Me’ which the five band members wrote together.

Now that The X Factor is over, their focus is on signing a record deal.

‘That is everybody’s aim once they finish with the show. There has been some interest and our goal is to sign a record deal. It’s a lot of pressure but it’s everything I have wanted since I was a kid and I wouldn’t change it for the world.’

Jack said he is very much looking forward to the home gig and welcoming band mates Jon Guelas, Blaise Duncan, Elliot Horne and Kieran Harrison to Ireland.

‘For the other guys in the band, it’s their first time coming to Ireland. They are all really excited and even suggested that we should finish the tour here as it’s such a great place for a party!’ he said.

United Vibe will kick off the Viberz Tour 2019 on February 9 in Manchester and will perform across the United Kingdom including Glasgow, Liverpool, London and Cardiff as well as Dublin on March 29.

Jack will be cheered on for the first and last gigs by his family including his mum and dad Charlotte and Paul.
