Hard luck to all involved especially our own county football captain Dean Healy and Stephen Duffy with the Senior county footballers who took on Leitrim in Aughrim on Sunday.

Congratulations to Niamh McGettigan on the honour of captaining the Senior county ladies this year.

It was not to be for the Wicklow ladies who made the long trip to Kiltoom, Roscommon to take on the home side with the final score: Roscommon 4-10, Wicklow 2-06.

We are all delighted that St Patricks Andy O’Brien has rejoined the Senior county hurlers. In the first game of the double header in Aughrim the result did not go Wicklow’s way. Full-time: Wicklow 0-15, Down 1-23.

Congratulations to Senior player Sinead McGettigan who will captain the County Minor ladies team this year. St Patrick’s GAA Club are very proud of their three county captains - Best of luck for the year ahead Sinead, Niamh and Dean.
