Fitzpatrick’s is the venue for Lions quiz
TONIGHT’S weekly lions quiz (Wednesday, February 13) takes place in Fitzpatrick’s Lounge in Wicklow town.
The two beneficiaries on the night will be Coláiste Chill Mhantáin and the Blue Dolphins Special Olympics Club.
The event gets under way at 8.30 p.m. Everybody is very welcome so come along and enjoy a wonderful evening and support very worthy causes through Wicklow and District Lions Club.
Supporters of Dominican College Wicklow and Wicklow Scouts were out in force last Wednesday for the Lions quiz held in Whistler’s Lounge, where there was an excellent attendance.
The first winter quiz of the New Year took place the previous Wednesday in Doyle’s Lounge of Rathnew. The night was in support of the Village Players drama group and St Coen’s NS.
The big winners proved to be the team consisting of Pat Sheehy, Shay Ryan, Harry Murphy and Larry Devereux, who finished first.
This major event has been running since November last and will continue until March next when the grand final will be held and funds raised will be distributed to 20 recipients.
