Unlawful possession

An Arklow man has been fined possessing €10 worth of cannabis after he failed to make a donation to the court poor box.

Mark O’Connell of 19 The Maples was charged with the unlawful possession of cannabis in The Maples on August 20, 2017.

Last Wednesday, Arklow District Court heard that the defendant did not take the opportunity to donate to the court poor box in order to avoid a conviction.

A fine of €120 was imposed.
