Hunt Ball is a glamorous affair

A SUCCESSFUL year for Shillelagh District Hunt was celebrated at the group’s annual Hunt Ball recently.

The event took place at Germaine’s of Baltinglass and attracted a large number of members from surrounding towns and villages who enjoyed a delicious meal followed by musical entertainment.

Shillelagh District Hunt enjoys a large membership from across the county with members coming from Baltinglass, Kiltegan, Tinahely, Shillelagh, Carnew, Hacketstown, Ballinglen, Knockananna and the Wicklow Gap. Chairperson John Walsh welcomed the guests and thanked them for their support all year. He also paid tribute to the committee who organised the 2019 Hunt Ball.

The next Shillelagh District Hunt event takes place on the St Patrick’s bank holiday weekend and is hunter trials at the Tinahely Riding Club grounds in Coolboy.
