Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Eleanor Kidd, née Stephens, Valentia Nursing Home, Camolin and Motabower, who died during the week and was buried on Friday following 2 p.m. service in All Saints Church Carnew. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER A service for the World day of Prayer will be held in Carnew Community Care Centre on Friday, March 1, at 3.30 p.m., tea will be served at 3 p.m., this year the service is prepared by the people of Slovenia, all welcome.

DRAMA FESTIVAL LAUNCH

Scoil Aodán Naofa, Carnew is now accepting enrolments for incoming junior infants for the school year 2019/20.

Scoil Aodán Naofa is a Co-Ed, inclusive, vertical school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Ferns.

We are pleased to announce this year the opening of a class for children with autism in September 2019 subject to Department of Education funding and the fulfilment of criteria as laid out in the school’s admission policy for its ASD Class.

The school has many national awards to its credit including Active Schools Flag, Green Flag Status, Science and maths awards and School of Excellence awards for Literacy. The next bingo is on Sunday, March 3, and 10 at 2.30 p.m. in St Bridget’s Hall, Carnew all welcome.

Ninety people sat down to a beautiful meal last Sunday when Donard ICA hosted their Spring Party in the Community Hall. The members would like to thank the Milltown Singers, who entertaine­d the guests and all those who helped in any way or gave raffle prizes.

Patrick Hunt is a keen gardener living in West Wicklow. He will be presenting a series of monthly talks on growing food for the home and garden in the Hollywood Centre.
