Ashleigh through to quarter finals

THE Toastmasters District 71 Finals of the International Speech competition was held online on Sunday.

The District 71 competition, consisted of six speakers from across Ireland and the UK, following success at Club, Area and Division levels.

Ashleigh Tobin, from Wicklow Toastmasters won the competition and now goes on to represent the District in the quarter finals of the Worlds.

Speaking after her win, Ashleigh said: ‘I love public speaking and especially, using story to deliver messages about making what matters, matter every day. To say I’m happy is a massive understatement. Huge thanks to my local Wicklow Toastmasters club for their support and encouragement and to every single Toastmaster who has evaluated one of my speeches, which has helped me improve my delivery.’
