TOWN AND COUNTRY MARKET

Aughrim Town and Country Market wish to thank our wonderful Stallholders and Customers for making our first Market under Phase one of opening up Ireland such a resounding success. Everyone was in great spirits and delighted to see one another after such a long time apart. The most heartening aspect of the day was the kindness and respect shown to each other in maintaining the social distancing required to keep us all safe.

We are looking forward to next week and here is hoping the sun shines on all of us again. If you would prefer to put an order in to any of the stalls and just collect you are welcome to call 086 0865838 to discuss your options or for any further information. Keep safe and happy till we see you again.

BUSINESSES REOPEN

As the country navigates through Phase one of the roadmap to ease COVID-19 restrictions it is great to see a number of businesses reopen in the town. The Wise Owl and Avon Motors to name just two. It is vitally important to local businesses that people shop locally at this time. It is great also that Avondale has opened its car parks again which is a very welcome amenity for Rathdrum residents.

FAIRIES ARE WELCOMED

(PPE) for those that need it in medical and community settings. A group of sewers across Ireland have volunteered to make the much needed face masks.

Luckily some of these are in the Rathdrum area. A go fund me page has been set up to try get funds to purchase the material and elastic. This is not for profit, fundraising is just to cover the costs. The time is given freely by the sewers who are volunteering their time.

To donate either log into gofundme online and search for

Masks four all-Ireland Wicklow Hub or follow the link on Facebook. Thank you to the volunteers. Remember not all heroes wear capes.
