FOOTBALL CLUB NOTES

After the only hurling team item found recently, we found another first which luckily is still playing every year since. That was the first Div.4 Competition in west Wicklow. It was an away game to Blessington and I think we were beaten.

The team was: P Griffin, L Toomey, L Whyte, M Byrne, K Toomey, P Metcalfe, S Kelly, S O’Neill, O O’Neill, Doyle, B Metcalfe, D O’Neill, T Byrne, E Doyle And T Dwyer. Subs were E Walsh, G Kelly, G Daly and J Mullins. We had to use initials as we were unsure of the christian names.
