Instrument funding opportunity
Professional musicians and non-professional groups from Wicklow can now apply for the Music Network Music Capital Scheme 2024, which features a total of €542,00 in funding to purchase musical instruments.
Supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, The Music Capital Scheme comprises award categories for non-professional performing groups (Award 1), individual established professional performing musicians (Award 2) and individual emerging professional performing musicians (Award 3).
An extensive range of applicant supports will be delivered between now and the application deadline (June 25), which will be available to both organisations and individuals, with a particular focus on supporting first-time and previously unsuccessful applicants.
Music Network will host two online information sessions, one for organisations considering applying to Award 1 and one for individuals considering applying to Awards 2 or 3, via Facebook live on Tuesday, May 21 at 6 p.m. (Award 1) and Wednesday, May 22, at 6 p.m. (Award 2 & 3)
Alongside this will be online seminars on key topics relating to the application process and a limited number of one-to-one consultation sessions on topics including Strategic and Artistic Planning for Organisations, Creating Your Governance Document for Organisations, Writing Skills for Organisations and individuals, and Creation of Recordings for Organisations and Individuals.
