WICKLOW MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK
‘Nature in History - A Biodiversity Challenge’ is up and running! Feel free to join us daily, Saturday 18th to Sunday 26th May at 10am to 4pm. Free of Charge (But please note that there is a €4 parking fee in Glendalough Visitor Centre Carpark.)Location: OPW Visitor Centre and Glendalough Monastic Site. This is a joint event run by the staff of OPW and Wicklow Mountains National Park.
To celebrate Biodiversity Week, join us on our free Biodiversity Challenge in Glendalough. Find out how nature thrives in our built heritage. The Biodiversity Challenge should take approximately 30 minutes, and is suitable for all ages. Participants sign in at the Visitor Centre where they will receive a map and a questionnaire. The map will lead you through the Monastic City, discovering Nature as you go. Lucky participants will win an OPW Family Heritage Card. The Heritage Card gives 12 months unlimited access to over 50 OPW Sites and visitor attractions with guided tours.

It is that time of year again for the judges of the SuperValue Tidy Towns competition to visit our village. If you have some spare time and want to help around the area join us on our evenings or daytime pruning, planting or gathering litter. Saturdays are 9am Technique Team & Squad.

GLENDALOUGH HERMITAGE CENTRE - PILGRIM WALKS
Following the tradition of pilgrimage, a series of walks has been organised to mark St Kevin’s Day on Saturday 1st June in Glendalough. Participants will walk towards Glendalough following a choice of 7 different routes which will merge along the way with other walkers from the same area.

If you’re thinking of walking all you need to do is: Pick one of the routes and then contact the group leader who will give you the details on the route’s length, starting time, location etc; Each person will walk all or part of their chosen route finishing with a ‘gathering’ of walkers sharing refreshments at the Hermitage Centre near St Kevin’s Church, Laragh around 2pm.
