Engaging with art, for me, is like looking into my microcosm self and beyond.

While painting, I set myself free from the grasp of everyday perception of reality. To my deep feeling, the world surroundin­g us flows through a human prism, pours into a deep and vast pool of our subconscio­usness, emotions, and souls, and giving us its humanly unique interpreta­tion. In the interface zone between the two worlds – the raw world of ‘things themselves as the artist feels with his senses and the known interprete­d world, in an alchemy-magical synergisti­c process, art happens.

In recent years I have integrated gold paint and gold leaves in my works. To me, It detaches the subject matter from the realistic context and elevates it to a metaphoric level.

I want to grant a halo of secular holiness to human wonders, doubts, and yearnings embodied in simple things like a flight of cranes or a shell lying on the sand after sunset.

I have been painting for many years. In recent years I have been using digital tools in my art.

My work can be printed on different materials - canvas, glass, high-quality paper, and silver metallic. Each one produces different qualities. Printed on silver metallic brightens the glow of the gold color and enhances the gap between light and shadow. Printed on glass or plexiglass, put on top of a lightbox deepens colors and spreads a colored glow around it. Adding gold paint and gold leaves on my mixed media works printed on canvas provides depth and sparkling brilliance and makes each one slightly different. Each work is printed in a limited edition of 75; each print is numbered and manually signed.
