HSTERN LAUNCHES THE GRUPO CORPO COLLECTION:

Unique and powerful jewelry inspired by hypnotizing ballet pieces of the well-known Brazilian dance group

-

Grupo Corpo (Grupo = Group, Corpo = Body) has been famous around the world for its fascinating dance segments inspired by the diverse Brazilian roots of the group, traditional aspects of classical ballet and modern dance style. As a continuation of the original and beloved collection that was launched in 2010, the creative team of HStern explored the choreography of the dance company and created four new lines inspired by the powerful movements of the dancers and the enchanting scenery that adorns the stage during the dance. The collection exposes a wide range of rings, earrings and bracelets made from yellow gold, Noble Gold and 18kt rose gold with different styles and designs, all of which simulate movement and some are even as Éexible as the movement of the dance.

BREU

The aesthetics of sharp contrasts of the ballet Breu, meaning pitch dark, have been translated into jewels of bold three-dimensional forms. Composed of a twisted web of yellow gold with sinuous movements and open spaces, referring to the marked play of contrast between black and white, light and shadow, the scenery and geometric costume design opposed to the curves of the dancer’s bodies.

TRIZ

Suspended ropes all around the stage composes the visually intriguing scenario of the Triz ballet introduced in 2013. The inspiring scene gave rise to jewels formed by a continuous strand of 18kt Noble Gold – the exclusive HStern champagne color alloy. Strands of Noble Gold intertwined with strands of cognac diamonds inspired by the comings and goings of the dancers on stage; resembling the rope curtain of the scene where the bodies slide.

SYMPHONIC DANCE

This solemn ballet, created in 2015 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Grupo Corpo, was an inspiration for the creation of jewels that combine brilliant blades of Noble Gold with others of rose gold, in reference to the sumptuous red velvet curtains and leotards that dress the theater and the dancers. The two tones of gold refer to the beautiful duets of the ballet. The sculptural composition of overlapping parallel blades creates an impressive mirrored optical effect.

WHITE SUITE

ressed in white from start to Ènish, dancers move across the milky linoleum against the backdrop panel that gradually reveals the peaks and valleys of a structure that resembles a giant glacier. The aridity of the eerily white landscape and the mysterious atmosphere of this choreography of Grupo Corpo inspired this line of amazing jewels made of Noble Gold and rock crystal. The facets of the rock crystal, specially developed for the collection, create graphic shapes with displaced and disordered axes, like the natural formation of an iceberg.
