The pre-fast meal should not be too heavy or in­clude fried items.

Don’t drink sug­ary drinks dur­ing the pre­fast meal, since they de­hy­drate your body and make you feel full.

This is not the time to pre­pare lots of dishes. If pos­si­ble, pre­pare a one-pot meal that in­cludes a starch.
