Between the holidays
The Passover craze is on the horizon, with companies gearing up for the Israeli shopping season. So we decided to catch a few day-to-day delights just before we enter this hectic time.
Young cosmetics

Accessories and bags by French exclusive fashion brand Cacharel landed in Israel and are available at swagg.co.il, as well as the Swagg store in Netanya. Zen and Yoga

Good things come in small parcels
Passover is around the corner and if you are looking for a special gift – local jewelry brand Danon has just introduced its spring-summer 2022 collection, offering timeless, classic gold and silver designs at affordable prices. The colors of spring
Spring is here and Essie, the New Yorkbased nail polish company, has introduced its first spring collection, Expressie Sk8 – five fresh shades all with strong pigments and an easy applicator brush, which will dry within one minute. A great base
After launching the new Double Wear makeup, which we wrote about in the last column, Estée Lauder now added a new primer – Double Wear Flawless Hydrating primer SPF 45, which will make the finished result look even more natural and perfect. The new primer is very light and creates a smooth, clean “canvas” for the makeup, resulting in a fresh and sheer look. The primer also adds moisture, it “lightens” the complexion and protects from damaging sun radiation. What more can you ask for? NIS 200. Best mascara ever
When it comes to mascara, we all want volume, length and definition. Clumps? Not so much. So MAC Cosmetics has just introduced its new mascara – MAC Stack – which is really very different. The formula in the new mascara, together with the fact that is comes with two different brush sizes, Superstack Mega Brush and Superstack Micro Brush, helps create “infinite layers” on the lashes without clumping, thanks to the brand’s new stretchable formula, which coats each lash from root to tip. The Superstack Mega Brush with large pink bristles works on lengthening the upper lashes while the Superstack Micro Brush coats the shorter lashes at the bottom, as well as the inner corners of the eye. The cannabis trend
MyShemen is an Israeli brand that produces holistic products based on oil from cannabis seeds and other natural aromatic oils, each imported from its place of origin. “We aim to bring everything which is good in cannabis,” says CEO of MyShemen Moshe Halfon, who begs customers to stop being afraid of the word cannabis. Get a haircut
In time for spring and Passover, Remington has introduced its new Power-X series, which it promises will allow you to create professional results at home. Pizza dinner
Have you noticed that the ready-to-bake refrigerated dough shelves in the supermarkets are packed these days? More and more brands are adding refrigerated doughs rather than frozen ones and for good reason. With a frozen pastry you need to remember to defrost it the night before, and then you have to use it all up quickly or get rid of it. Osem launched its new refrigerated dough series and we really liked its new Osem Bonjour pizza crust, which keeps up to 28 days in the fridge. All I had to do was add Osem’s pizza sauce, grated mozzarella and other toppings. The pizza was ready before the oven finished warming up, and it was devoured afterward very quickly. Great solution for a light meal when you do not have time to cook or when you just feel like pizza. Try their mille-feuille chilled dough too – we baked burekas, filling it with spinach and cheese and the result was good while fresh. Thanks, Osem.
A bowl of goodness
Great news for vegans (and their moms) – Tivol has just introduced a new gourmet series called Bowl, which is actually really good. Offering three flavors of warm salads, Bowl is the first gourmet product in Tivol’s new line, which tries to answer the growing demand for quick delicious vegan meals, and it delivers. There are three products in the series – Greens Bowl, with pearl barley, peas and zucchini and flavored with olive oil; Quinoa Bowl, with black, red and white quinoa, chickpeas, roasted eggplant, roasted red and yellow peppers and tomatoes (delicious); and Grains Bowl, with whole rice, pearl barley, spelt, carrot, peas, corn and zucchini. Preparation is easy and very quick, and the results – we prepared all three flavors for three vegans that love eating this kind of food in restaurants, and they all said that they are going to add it to their weekly shopping list. The cook, by the way, loved it too.
Tropical freshness
Orbit Refreshers new tropical gum flavor is tasty. Not much else to say except that like the other Refreshers by Orbit, the freshness and flavor stay for a very long time and we really liked the flavor – maybe you will too. NIS 12.90.
