Very feminine

Slim and radical
The new Rouge Pur Couture Slim Velvet Radical matte lipstick by Yves Saint Laurent is absolutely my new favorite item in my makeup bag. It is velvety, long-lasting and very comfortable to wear. The extra concentrated pigment allows you to use just a thin layer for excellent cover, and the special square bullet helps define the cupid bow without the need to bring out the lip pencil. Formulated with oils, the smooth texture is a joy, and the lipstick doesn’t bleed into the fine lines. There are 10 ravishing shades. I wish I could have them all, but if you have to choose, there’s no more elegant color than the YSL red. NIS 160. Available at April beauty stores.

Clinique has introduced a Clarifying Do-Over Peel. The new home peel, which is gentle but effective, is perfect for city girls. The peel improves the skin’s texture by removing dead skin cells, dirt and excess sebum, rendering revitalized skin. It also promotes new skin cells and collagen production and closes open pores. According to Clinique, the new peeling also helps remove fine lines, leaving the skin smooth and radiant. It contains a 32% concentration of acids and other active ingredients. Kylie is here
American entrepreneur and social media personality Kylie Jenner is also a businesswoman with her own cosmetics company. This week, the brand was launched in Israel and will be sold at Super-Pharm stores and online. A millionaire in her own right, Jenner started her business seven years ago with her iconic lip kits and has been adding new items constantly. The Super-Pharm stores will carry Jenner’s Kylie Skin and Kylie Cosmetic lines, which include lip kits, facial creams and more. Fresh
Fa is a deodorant brand that was very popular in Israel back when we didn’t have so many brands to choose from. Now it is back with a new formula and new branding, with less plastic in the containers and 25% recycled aluminum in the spray container. The roll-on formula, according to the company, is vegan – another good point in its favor. In the new line of products are the 200 ml. spray with scents such as sport, Caribbean, pink passion, aqua, and attraction force; and two transparent deodorants for him and for her. Gentle cleansing
No-nonsense brand CeraVe, my granddaughter’s favorite, has launched a new hydrating foaming oil cleanser that will surely be added to her cosmetics bag. The cleanser is gentle enough to be used on the body and the face, as well as for babies and elderly people. The cleanser adds moisture and contains three ceramides that relax the skin and promote the natural protective layer of the skin. I love it. NIS 69.90. Bath time
Pinuk Baby, a new line of products for infants by Pinuk, offers soaps developed specially to suit babies’ delicate skin. Dermatologically tested, with chamomile and aloe vera, and no parabens or artificial coloring, the new line smells great and was well received by a family with young children. NIS 13.90–NIS 19.90
Provocative and naughty
Miss Ko, a new perfume by Israeli company Careline, is being introduced as a “provocative floral fragrance for women who enjoy being naughty sometimes.” Created in France for a local cosmetic company, the perfumes open with sweet top notes of bergamot, raspberry and Indian sage; middle notes of jasmine, neroli and patchouli; and base notes of wood, musk and amber. It is yummy. NIS 129 for 100 ml.
Bergamot and pistachio
The first in the new season’s scents, Pure Jasmine by Trussardi for women was created by Violaine Collas and Julie Masse. The new scent hits all the right chords, with top notes of salty pistachio, bergamot and neroli; middle notes of mugane (molecules that enhance the jasmine scent), champaca and jasmine; and base notes of vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli that add to the fragrance’s exceptional persistence. For the modern man
Men who absolutely must have a new fragrance may find this new collection by Ga-De interesting: the new Icon Private perfumes for men. The 09 Icon Private we sampled is fresh and alluring, mixing light fresh notes of bergamot, cardamom and lime, with heart notes of pink pepper, cinnamon, wood, cashmere, and base of musk and moth. Famous for its high-quality oils, the Greek island is home to some of the best olive oils in the world. This one, Oleum Crete, is imported to Israel by Israco. It has won more than 25 global prizes in the past four years and is produced in a protected area in the southern part of the island. Cold pressed from 100% koroneiki olives, the color is green-gold, and the fruitiness is noticeable. It’s excellent for salad dressing, as well as cooking.
