Take your Picks

While planning and getting ready for the holiday’s endless dinners, you may want to find quick solutions for the days ahead. One option can be Picks, a new initiative whereby prepared dishes from favorite restaurants are sold in the supermarket. Working with some of Tel Aviv’s most popular restaurants, Picks markets dishes prepared by chefs in their restaurants, chilled and packaged. There are Italian dishes, Thai dishes from Thai House, fish, salads and more. We tried a few of the dishes, such as excellent chopped liver prepared by Tzuk Farm; tasy risotto frike (smoked green wheat) prepared at Ouzeria; and a very good salmon fillet with rice by Manta Rey. Prices ranged between NIS 25 and NIS 49 for the salmon. Picks is sold at some AM:PM branches in Tel Aviv only.
