Francophones in Israel
The Francophone campus at Netanya Academic College held a special memorial for French Jews who perished in the Holocaust. Nazi hunters Serge and Beate Klarsfeld were honored at the evening, which was attended by Christian Estrosi, mayor of Nice; Prof. Zvi Arad, president of Netanya Academic College; Claude Grundman-Brightman, head of the Francophone campus at Netanya Academic College; and Dr. David Altman, senior vice president at the Netanya Academic College.
Young CEOs
The Young Israeli CEO Forum recently held an event titled Spectrum.IL at the Castiel Gallery in Jaffa. The forum, which was founded by Assaf Azoulay, CEO of BBDO IM, and Moty Fridman, CEO of minus417, welcomes young professionals under 40. Forum members were treated to an inspirational evening during which Ziv Aviram, CEO of Mobileye, spoke about his vast experience and gave tips about how to build a successful company.
Partner overtakes Orange
Last week, Partner launched its new mobile brand, which is replacing Orange. VIP guests from Orange and other large firms in the fields of technology and finance were invited to the launching at Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds Pavilion 2, including Haim Saban, controlling shareholder of Partner Communications and chairman Saban Capital Group, who arrived in Israel especially for the occasion. Adam Chesnoff, president and chief operating officer of Saban Capital, and Incoming Partner CEO Itzhak Benveniste, welcomed guests to the event, including Shlomo Filber, Ministry of Communications director- general; Ofra Strauss; Meir Shamir; Moshe Debi; Maurice Lévy, CEO of Publicis, who arrived with Yoram Bauman and Yossi Lubaton, both of whom were involved in the advertising campaign
Krembo Wings
Last week, Krembo Wings, which runs a youth group for children with special needs, held its annual gala evening at Sheva in Tel Aviv. The proceeds from the evening will be used to open new branches of Krembo Wings. Among those present were Nir Bronstein, chairman of the board, Krembo Wings Director Ofira Rotem, Shai and Orna Dahan, Assaf and Miri Tuchmeir and Liat and Shuki Koblenz.
Art for Charity
This past Friday, Bank Hapoalim held a sale of paintings by Israeli artists at its management headquarters on Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv. For the 17th consecutive year, distinguished guests came to browse among the hundreds of artworks that were spread over six floors. As always, all proceeds will be donated to ca specific charity; this year’s recipient is the Israel AIDS Task Force. Among those sighted wandering the halls were Bank Hapoalim controlling shareholder Shari Arison, Chairman Yair Seroussi, and Head of Retail Banking Arik Pinto. In addition, Shira and Ishay Davidi, Eyal Waldman, MK Ayelet Nahmias-Verbin and her husband Ivri Verbin, Erez Vigodman, Irit Isaacson, Moshik Theumim and Sami and Tova Sagol attended the evening.
