Saturday night crash kills four

Four people died and one was injured in a head-on crash on Route 772 near Kiryat Ata east of Haifa on Saturday night. The dead were Rebecca and Moshe Ben Cohen of Kiryat Bialik, ages 72 and 81, respectively; Yosef Aridi, 61, of Daliat al-Carmel; and an Indian citizen who was driving with the couple. Two of the deaths were pronounced immediately upon arrival at Ramban Medical Center in Haifa. Doctors worked through the night to save the lives of two others who arrived in critical condition, however both were pronounced dead on Sunday morning. • Eliyahu Kamisher
