NFL SEASON KICKS OFF IN STYLE

In the rest of the NFL’s early Week 1 kickoffs, the Cincinnati Bengals edged the New York Jets 23-22, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Tennessee Titans 25-16, the Buffalo Bills lost 13-7 to the Baltimore Ravens, the Chicago Bears were defated 23-14 by the Houston Texans, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers held off the Atlanta Falcons 31-24, while the San Diego Chargers-vs-the Kansas City Chiefs, the Green Bay Packers-vs-the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New Orleans Saints-vs-the Oakland Raiders were all locked in tight contests late in the fourth quarter as of press time. The evening games saw the Miami Dolphins at the Seattle Seahawks, the Dallas Cowboys entertaining the New York Giants, the Indianapolis Colts taking on the Detroit Lions and the Jimmy Garoppolo-led New England Patriots on the road against the Arizona Cardinals. The Carolina Panthers lost 21-20 to the Denver Broncos to open the season on Thursday night, while Monday features a pair of game to close out Week 1, with the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the Washington Redskins (live on FoxSports at 2 a.m.) and the San Francisco 49ers the Los Angeles Rams (live on FoxSports at 5:30 a.m Tuesday morning).
