WEEP: In a deeply lamented choice of roles, brilliant comedienne Julia Phooey-Dufus plays US VP Salina Mire, who slings F bombs a mile a minute, disrespects everyone she encounters, and is surrounded by a group of toadies who demean one another nonstop. The Island with Bare Gruels: A group of ordinary people are deposited on a remote tropical island for a month to fend for themselves and apply their survival skills. In this week’s episode, they come across a group of survivors from a plane crash who seem to be “Lost” in a time warp and pursued by a mysterious smoke monster.

Pawn Stores: Master negotiator Trick Bargain-Somme uses every excuse in the book to get the lowest price possible for invaluable items that customers bring in to his pawnshop. In this week’s episode, for next to nothing, he acquires the Holy Grail, the Gutenberg Bible, Lincoln’s handwritten Gettysburg Address and an authentic moon rock.

X-tant: Wholly Beriberi as astronaut Motely Woods (not a big departure from her role as Storm in the X-Men films) acquires superhuman powers and becomes a pariah as she attempts to save an alien nation that is threatening to inhabit the Earth.
