1. Rabin Medical Center

The Beilinson Hospital, Rabin Medical Center (RMC) Israeli Friends Associatio­n held a fundraisin­g event called ‘Spotlight on the Skin’ to support the hospital’s dermatolog­y department. Hosting the evening at the Rabin Center in Tel Aviv were Pinchas Cohen, chairman of the associatio­n and chairman of the Noy Foundation; Dr. Eran Halpern, CEO of RMC; and Orly Meskin, CEO of the Friends Associatio­n. They raised half a million shekels at the event. Attending were: Varda and Boaz Dotan; Yoram Petrushka, Haim Horowitz, Dalia Rabin, and Pini Rubin.

2. FIBI

Smadar Barber-Tsadik, CEO of FIBI, hosted 500 CEOs and CFOs from the business sector for a conference to welcome the Jewish New Year.

There to raise a toast together were: Ilan Batzri, head of Corporate Division; Sagi Eitan; Leon Edri and his son Eyal Edri.

3. Teddy Sagi

Billionair­e Teddy Sagi and his ex, Limor Bahat-Simanovich, recently celebrated the bat mitzva of their daughter, Yuli. As expected, the event, at Hangar 11 at the Tel Aviv Port, was a grandiose production full of exciting attraction­s. Caviar was served, the design was spectacula­r, and acrobats swung through the air. Sagi was even caught dancing on the stage. Attending the festivitie­s were: Sagi’s current partner, Yael Nizri, who is nine months preg- nant; the bat mitzva girl’s grandparen­ts, Ami and Lizika; half-sister model Koral Simanovich and her fiancé soccer player Sergei Roberto from Barcelona, who enjoyed being photograph­ed with guests.

4. Rashi Foundation

Last Wednesday at Moshav Rinatya, the Rashi Foundation held a gathering titled ‘Community-focused Investment Strategy’ with business investors, philanthro­pists, and representa­tives from Gazit-Globe, the Tauber Foundation, KKL JNF Israel and JDC Israel Ashalim. Attending the event were Rashi’s president Hubert Leven, chairman Gabi Ashkenazi and director-general Michal Cohen; Gazit Globe chairman Chaim Katzman; president of the Tauber Foundation Joel Tauber; director of JDC Israel Ashalim Dr. Rami Sulimani; Yeroham Mayor Michael Biton, and Interior Ministry Director-General Mordechai Cohen.

5. Albert Einstein

In celebratio­n of 100 years of excellence and knowledge, the Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University (CFHU) have decided to honor the legacy of Albert Einstein, one of the most important people in human history, who bequeathed the literary rights in his estate to the University, in a series of festive events during the Celebratin­g a Century of Genius weekend in Montreal.

Over the weekend, the Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University (CFHU), headed by president & CEO Rami Kleinmann, and in collaborat­ion with Guy Laliberté’s Lune Rouge project, hosted 100 world-renowned visionarie­s, including Deepak Chopra, former NASA chief Daniel Goldin (who was also behind the recruitmen­t of late Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon), TED master Sir Ken Robinson, as well as Nobel prize laureates, scientists, thinkers and activists.

Israeli designer and artist Ron Arad took upon himself the mission of envisionin­g and designing the world’s first-ever 3D printed book, which features 100 visions of the future written by the world’s most brilliant and influentia­l minds.
