JNFA in solidarity with Texas families
NEW YORK – The Jewish Federations of North America expressed solidarity with the families of the victims in Sunday’s massacre in Texas. The umbrella organization joined an announcement made earlier by the Jewish Federation of San Antonio, saying it was “deeply saddened to learn of the murderous violence that occurred at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs earlier today. We are disturbed and saddened by this senseless act of violence at a house of worship. It has no place in this world. We send our sincerest condolences to the families of the victims, and we pray for a complete recovery of body and soul for those who were injured. May the congregants of First Baptist Church and the residents of Sutherland Springs find comfort in their community, and strength and love among each other.”
