Acum Award recipients announced
Hanan Yovel and Ehud Banai will receive lifetime achievement awards at the Israel Association of Composers, Authors and Publishers of Musical Works (ACUM) Awards on May 30, according to a statement released last week.
The prestigious awards include a NIS 35,000 prize. Yovel was chosen for the Naomi Shemer award and Banai for the Ehud Manor award.
In addition, Shaike Paikov will be honored for his contribution to the Israeli culture, Ravid Plotnik (aka Nechi Nech) will get an achievement award for his album Shefel Ve’Geut (Low and High Tide), Hanan Ben-Ari will be given an achievement award for the song “Wikipedia” and the band Hagirafot will get the composers achievement award.
Other recipients are Ya Ya Cohen Aharonov, Liron Amram. Yarden (Jordi) Peleg, Pen Hazut & Dolev Ram, Eyal Mezig, Hila Sheleg, Avigail Kovery and Miria, Etzioni.
