1. Honda Motorcycle
A large Israeli contingent of motorcylce enthusiasts recently visited England. Or Shachar and Avner Kass, owners of the Mayer Group, the importer of Honda motorcycles to Israel; Oren Benano, director of the Honda Motorcycle Division; and members of the Honda-HRC Israel racing team all spent time London, where, in addition to attending a training camp to prepare for the upcoming season of races, they enjoyed a visit to the Silverstone Circuit, where they met the MotoGP world champion Marc Márquez.
2. Toto Turner
Last week, Moshe Mamrod, CEO and controlling shareholder of Tadiran, Alona Barkat, owner of the Hapoel Beersheba team, and Rubik Danilovich, mayor of Beersheeba, met up to welcome in the New Year. The event took place at the Toto Turner Stadium in Beersheeba with the participation of the team’s management and players.
3. US Open
Andy Ram may have retired from playing professional tennis, but that didn’t keep him from spending last week with his longtime tennis partner, Yoni Ehrlich, at the US Open Tennis Championships. The two of
them paused for a picture with Martina Navratilova, one of the best tennis players of all time.
4. Golfzon Israel
Seated in a row reserved for golf enthusiasts, CEO of Golfzon Israel Chen Turgeman launched the first showroom in Israel of the $1 billion Korean golf simulation company at the Arena Mall in Herzliya. Global
Operations Manager of Golfzon in Korea JK Lee met Alon Granot, who is the chairman of the Israel Golf Association and sports broadcaster Yoram Arbel.
5. South TA Art
Over 1,000 people attended the joint opening of the Gordon and Alon Segev Galleries, which relocated to south Tel Aviv. The relocation of these leading veteran galleries is creating buzz about the new art quarter, which was fashioned by international designer Ron Arad. The galleries opened to the public this past weekend with a sculpture exhibition of works by Ofer Lalouche at the Gordon Gallery and of American artist Joel Morrison at the Alon Segev Gallery. Attending were Gordon Gallery owner Amon Yariv; Alon Segev Gallery owners Yishai and Shira Davidi; Assaf Rapaport; Roni Gilat-Baharav, CEO of Christie’s Israel; and Suzanne Landau, director of the Tel Aviv Museum.
